Papaya & Sugar Foot Scrub

Papaya & Sugar Scrub

Summer can be harsh on your feet and legs. We've been enjoying warm temperatures in the Bay Area. Warm weather like this means summer dresses are in, with our bare legs out. Keeping your feet soft can become a bit of a chore.

So the Glow & Green community came up with another easy DIY natural skincare recipe: Papaya & Sugar Foot Scrub (look here for other pure beauty recipes Beauty: Face Mask)

This foot scrub can be made in bulk. It lasts for the entire week so you can put it in your fridge and apply it every night! In this recipe, we are combining only three simple ingredients: papaya pulp, sugar & coconut oil.

Sugar works as an exfoliating agent that removes dead cells and unclogs pores, while papaya & coconut oil nourishes your skin after the dead cells are removed. So, before further ado, let's get ready for that 4th of July pool party.

Papaya & Sugar Body ScrubRecipe:

Things you need:

  • 1/2 Cup Papaya Pulp

  • 8 Tablespoons Sugar

  • 3 Tablespoons Coconut Oil

Process:

Mix together papaya pulp and sugar really well, then add 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. Put this scrub into an air-tight container. While using this scrub, make sure water doesn't get inside the box. This is simple and eco-friendly.

Shelf life:

5-7 days refrigerated.

You guys can find several papaya masks on the market. I have listed some of them below. But I would say, just as you would personalize a wedding dress, why not create a homemade customized DIY foot scrub.

Isn't a foot scrub a top-line luxury when it comes to beauty? So, let me know what you think about your DIY foot scrub. Comment down below if you tried this recipe.
