Halloween Inspired Face Masks

Halloween Inspired Face mask

It's been a while; we have shared recipes for facial masks. Since it's long due, we want to share simple fall favorite ultra-hydrating facial masks recipes(last recipe we shared here)!

Before I move further with homemade recipes, I want to discuss a little bit about DIY beauty vs. Store-bought products.

As you know by now that, I love homemade beauty recipes. The reason being, it is hard to conceptualize all the toxic chemicals that are in our skincare products. When a product comes in a beautiful tube and is labeled "organic" & "non-toxic," it can be easy to think that it's good for us.

But looking closer in the labels, sadly, we can see the all-natural & organic branding is not the real story. We want you all to see DIY Skincare beauty as a luxury instead of thrift beauty. (For more info: Check out here to pros & cons on DIY skincare)

Today, in this blog post, we want to share two facial masks using home/pantry ingredients. The first recipe is for mature and dry skin!

It is perfect during Halloween time. This mask contains pumpkin & oats milk. The second recipe is our founder's childhood favorite, turmeric, yogurt & honey!

So first, let's talk about Pumpkin & Oats milk Facial Mask.

Pumpkinish Facial Mask:

Although pumpkin is a fall favorite natural ingredient, it's also great for your skin. It is filled with vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, and beta-carotene. Pumpkin is great because it penetrates the other nutrients more in-depth into your skin.

To make this fantastic mask:

  • Two tablespoon Pumpkin Puree

  • One tablespoon oat milk

  • One tablespoon fuller's clay

  • 1/2 teaspoon Honey

In one small bowl, add pumpkin puree, and fuller's earth. Add oat milk and honey to make a paste. If the dough is too thick, add more oat milk. If you would like to have more hydrating quality, add more honey. Honey will act as a hydrating & cleansing agent.

  • Shelf life: use immediately

  • Suitable for: dry & mature skin

Turmeric Classic Mask:

When turmeric is used in the right amount, it works wonder on your skin. Turmeric has excellent anti-inflammatory & anti-septic quality. It reduces wrinkles, and it's filled with anti-oxidant.

It is a unique Ayurveda ingredient that can be used to cure various diseases. Test a small amount of this mask on the inside of your wrist before applying it to your face. To make sure that it doesn't stain your face. We have shared more details on turmeric here.

To make this fantastic mask:

  • Two Tablespoons Greek Yogurt

  • One teaspoon Organic Kasturi Turmeric

  • Two tablespoon Almond oil

  • Mini-bowl combines all the ingredients and mixes it well. You can add honey or almond oil if you are not happy with the consistency.

Shelf life: Fresh to use

Suitable for all skin types.

To have great results, we recommend the below method:

Apply the facial mask starting at the bottom of your neck and spreading upwards. Avoid the eyes, nostrils, and lips area. Leave this facial mask for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off the warm water & perform facial steam. In this way, the pore will open up and consume nutrients deep into your pores!

We will love to hear if you happen to try any of these facial masks.
