Rice, Rose Patel Powder & Bakuchiol Oil in Face Mask:
This is the ultimate face mask recipe inspired by Indian culture. First, let me talk about how I came up with this recipe. Growing up in India, I have had to deal with ridiculous summer temperatures. Whenever I came home from university the first thing I would do was prepare a soothing and calming face mask for my skin. This mask represents my summers in India. In this mask, I use a total of 4 ingredients. Every ingredient represents some kind of significance in the recipe. Rice flour will help you eliminate blemishes and uneven skin tone. Rice powder contains vitamin B3, zinc, and vitamin E. Vitamin B3 serves as an active agent to reduce uneven skin tone. While rose petal powder also works to minimize uneven skin tone, it is an integral ingredient when it comes to skin brightening. Bakuchiol oil is a natural retinol derived from Babachi plant extract. It acts as an anti-aging ingredient. The vitamin A found in this oil will provide the skin with elasticity and firmness, and an improvement in fine lines. Over the years, I have become a firm believer that fewer ingredients in beauty products will give you the best assurance and result. Apply this face mask after you properly clean your face. The Recipe: Ingredients: 2 tbsp.: Rose Petal Powder ( I generally dry fresh roses from the garden and crush it in the food processor) 1& 1/2 tbsp.: Rice Flour 5-10 drops of Bakuchiol oil Rosewater (as needed) Method: Add rose petal powder, rice flour, and bakuchiol oil together. Mix it vigorously. Start adding rosewater gradually as needed until it has a paste-like consistency. Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 10-15 min. I hope you like this recipe!
